MORIANA 01
Book, Typographic interpretation, 2009

Moriana is an imaginary city in the novel, Invisible Cities written by Italo Calvino. Moriana consists of two parts. The first part is very prosperous, and the other part is in ruins. Those two contrary parts coexist but don’t meet each other, just like opposite sides of a paper sheet. Thus I developed a book, which consists of inseparable two books. I represent the beatiful part of the city in one book, and the ugly part in another, but they are connected to show the juxtaposition that Calvino expresses.
